Learner Licence Road Code Theory session

NZTA Theory Test for Class 1 Learners Licence
First, understand and learn the New Zealand Road Code through a variety of teaching methods that suit all learning styles. This section of the course takes approximately three hours.
After learning the road code you will be taken to VTNZ in Palmerston North to sit your NZTA learner licence theory test, revising what you've learnt through on-road revision on the way.
The NZTA test is a tablet-based, 35-question multi-choice test that assesses your knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices.
Once you have passed your theory test, you will be given a temporary learner licence. Your photo driver licence will be posted to you.
For this course you need:

To be aged 16 years or over

To be able to pass an eye test

Have a good understanding of English

Proof of your identify, through original copies of correct identification. You will not be able to complete any of the course without the below identification.
What identification can I use?
You must present either:

your current New Zealand passport
OR
-
If you don't have a New Zealand passport or it has expired then you will need to provide two documents of NZTA approved ID (one of these documents must include your photo).
Examples of NZTA approved ID include:

New Zealand Birth Certificate and current New Zealand Student ID

Current Overseas Passport and current New Zealand Student ID
